Dr. Amishi Jha

Researcher, professor of Psychology and director of Contemplative Neuroscience, Mindfulness Research & Practice Initiative, at the University of Miami.

Dr. Jha’s research focuses on the brain’s base of attention, working memory and mindfulness training. Her current projects are focused on exploring how to better promote resilience in high stress situations, using contemplative training techniques that strengthen the brain's attention networks.

Amishi, in her most recent investigation, has examined mindfulness with soldiers in the U.S. Army, with Strong Projects as a tool to improve situational awareness and reduce stress measured through brainwaves activity and tools of cognitive behavior.
